CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Mothim seeks flower nectar but readily steals stores collected by Combee. Night offers a chance to approach their honey while they sleep. Its wingbeats also scatter steel-colored scales. In Hisui, the observer notices a contrast: despite a mainly nectar-based diet, this Pokémon is rarely seen around flower gardens. Its search for food therefore does not always make it easy to observe.

A detail worth noticing

Legends: Arceus emphasizes that Mothim is rarely seen near flower gardens despite feeding mainly on nectar. The entry also mentions the metallic-colored scales it scatters while beating its wings.
