CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

This version of Poké Ball makes its search depend on a favorable coin flip. On heads, you take a Basic Pokémon or Evolution from your deck, reveal it, and add it to your hand, then shuffle. Choice is not limited to the deck's first cards, but no other benefit is promised on tails.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The Pokémon is chosen from the deck after heads rather than randomly revealed from the top. The effect does not immediately evolve a target in play: the selected card first enters your hand.
