CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Honchkrow emerges at night escorted by Murkrow, which it gathers with a deep cry. A single flock may contain a hundred of these companions. They perform risky tasks while their boss waits for the moment to deliver the final blow. It is harsh towards those who fail or betray it. The Pokédex portrays a feared leader whose authority rests as much on its troop-gathering cry as on the discipline it imposes.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sun credits a single Honchkrow cry with gathering a hundred Murkrow. Pokémon Ultra Moon explains that it delegates dangerous work and often intervenes only to finish an opponent. This organisation explains the size of its nocturnal escort.
