The Pokémon’s story

Teddiursa loves honey enough to keep some on its paws and lick them. It makes its own by mixing fruit with pollen gathered by Beedrill. When it finds a supply, the moon marking on its forehead glows. Before winter, it also hides food in several places. The Pokédex tells of an organized gourmand that does not rely on a single harvest to survive the cold season.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby describes Teddiursa's honey as a mixture it makes with fruit and pollen collected by Beedrill. Pokémon Y mentions hiding places prepared before winter. Its appetite therefore comes with real work to build reserves.
