CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Golisopod inhabits caves and wrecks on the seabed. Beneath its tough shell, it has several pairs of legs and claws capable of surprising an inattentive opponent. It prefers winning by any means to retreating. Encounters with Grapploct may end in a battle whose loser becomes a meal. The Pokédex therefore connects its apparent calm in the depths with swift brutality when survival is at stake.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield reports battles between Golisopod and Grapploct on the seabed, after which the defeated Pokémon may be eaten. Pokémon Sword highlights its small foreclaws, used at the decisive moment. The least visible weapon sometimes becomes the most important.
