Maskerade im Zwielicht / #138/167
Printed language: German · Pokémon
CARDEX BACKGROUND
Ambipom performs almost every task with its two tails. It can peel nuts without using its arms and embrace those it likes. In large colonies, individuals link their tails into a ring as a sign of friendship. They also compete with Passimian for the most comfortable trees. The Pokédex thus shows agile limbs that serve feeding and play as much as expressing the group's bonds.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon X describes a ring formed by several Ambipom's tails as a sign of friendship. Pokémon Ultra Moon notes that they also embrace beings they like. Their dexterity therefore has a social use as marked as its usefulness in opening nuts.
