The Pokémon’s story

Ursaluna is associated with Hisui's marshes, where its massive build accompanies power over peat. The Pokédex suggests this environment may have shaped those traits. The story of its Bloodmoon form follows another route: after crossing the sea and reaching a new land, this Ursaluna survived there by acquiring a distinctive appearance and powers. Both portraits thus connect the Pokémon with an environment without conflating their transformations.

A detail worth noticing

The official Pokédex gives the two forms different measurements: Ursaluna is 2.4 meters tall and weighs 290 kilograms, compared with 2.7 meters and 333 kilograms for Bloodmoon Ursaluna. The latter is therefore both taller and heavier.
