CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Gigalith absorbs sunlight and releases it as powerful blasts. When it discharges all its energy, cracks appear on its own body. It often stays underground, but the Pokédex also shows it alongside humans at construction sites and in mines. Its strength can move a dump truck; yet it depends on available light, because it can fire these blasts only when the sun shines. Its power therefore has a very concrete limit.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword places Gigalith at construction sites and in mines, sometimes with Copperajah. Pokémon Shield specifies that its blasts can blow away a dump truck, but can only be fired in sunshine. Pokémon Ultra Sun describes the cracks left by a full-power shot.
