CARDEX BACKGROUND
Mismagius appears without warning and murmurs sounds resembling incantations. Its enemies may be left with headaches or terrifying visions. The Pokédex chiefly reports its curses, but also mentions fortunate effects and occasional kindness. A belief even credits it with granting lovers’ wishes, leading some people to seek it out. The species thus remains elusive: feared for its tricks, yet sometimes a hoped-for encounter.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Moon reports a belief that Mismagius can fulfil lovers’ wishes. Pokémon Ultra Sun states that it can sometimes be benevolent despite its curses. These entries explain why some pursue it while others flee.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
