CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Flygon beats its wings above the desert and raises a cloud of sand that hides its body. A thin membrane protects its eyes as the sound of its wings takes on the quality of a melody. Travellers may be drawn to this sound and become lost in the storm. It is therefore called the “Desert Spirit”. This nickname comes from two intertwined impressions: an almost invisible silhouette and a voice whose source nobody can see.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun describes Flygon engulfing Krookodile in the storms it raises, then sharing its catch with its own kind. The detail goes beyond the image of an elusive loner: its sand also serves to hunt for a group.
