CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Kadabra focuses its psychic energy by staring at a silver spoon. Without it, its powers diminish sharply; a gold spoon supposedly would not serve as well. When sleeping, it can levitate and use its tail as a pillow. The Pokédex also connects its presence with strange phenomena such as clocks running backward. Its telekinesis therefore features in everyday gestures as much as in the mysterious events attributed to it.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun says the silver spoon helps Kadabra concentrate its power but a gold spoon is unsuitable. Pokémon Ultra Moon estimates that lacking this object halves its abilities. The spoon's material therefore matters as much as its shape.
