CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Simisear seeks sweet foods, from which it draws the energy needed for the fire maintained inside its body. When excited or preparing to battle, flames appear on its head and tail. It can throw them at an opponent. The Pokédex thus connects a very simple food preference with its most visible ability: what it eats contributes to the heat it later releases around itself.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Black explains that sweet foods fuel Simisear’s internal combustion. Pokémon Y describes the small flames dancing on its head and tail when it is excited. Its fire therefore follows both its meals and its mood.
