CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

Multi Energy can represent every Energy type while in play, but never provides more than one Energy at a time. This flexibility disappears if the Pokémon it is attached to already has another Special Energy: its text then limits it to one Colorless Energy. You must therefore consider the other Energy cards present before relying on it for a particular type. Its strength comes from the choice of type while its condition remains satisfied, rather than from a greater quantity of Energy.

Background on this Special Energy’s effect; the printed text, edition and finish of each card remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Printings of Multi Energy repeat the same restriction: on a Pokémon that already has another Special Energy, it provides Colorless Energy. Another card's presence therefore changes the type it supplies, without detaching it or removing its single unit of Energy.

Printed card effect

Lege Multi-Energie an 1 deiner Pokémon an.
