Hyperball

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Ultra Ball first requires sacrificing two other cards from the hand. Once this cost is paid, the player searches their entire deck for a Pokémon, reveals it, and takes it into their hand. The deck is then shuffled. This search therefore exchanges two available resources for access to a chosen Pokémon without putting it directly into play. The text does not limit the search to Basic Pokémon.

A detail worth noticing

The two cards to discard must be distinct from Ultra Ball: the text requires two other cards. This payment precedes the search. The found Pokémon must then be shown to the opponent before joining the player's hand.
