CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Dust Island passes Poison to the new Active Pokémon when a player switches their Poisoned Active Pokémon with a Benched Pokémon through a Trainer card's effect. This Stadium affects both players. Its trigger depends both on the former Active Pokémon's condition and on what caused the switch, rather than on any move to the Bench.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The text requires a switch caused by a Trainer card. It does not say every retreat automatically passes on Poison, or that the former Active Pokémon's other Special Conditions are passed along as well.
