CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Choice Band increases the damage of its holder's attacks against your opponent's Active Pokémon by thirty if that defender is a Pokémon-GX or Pokémon-EX. The bonus applies before Weakness and Resistance. Its usefulness therefore depends on the category of the Active defender, rather than a type requirement imposed on the holder.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
This Tool does not provide a universal thirty-damage bonus against every target. The text specifies your opponent's Active Pokémon and requires it to be GX or EX; damage to the Bench is not included.
