CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Klang brings together several gears whose direction and speed of rotation signal to others of its kind. Greater anger accelerates their movement. In battle, the large gear can launch the small one, but risks trouble if its companion does not return. When both parts align perfectly, their rotation becomes even faster. The Pokédex describes a living mechanism in which communication, attack and staying together depend on the same motion.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon White says Klang is in trouble if the small gear it launches in battle fails to return. Pokémon Black explains that its rotations also express anger. The launched component is therefore not an ordinary projectile but part of its collective life.
