CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Haxorus is generally gentle but defends its territory with formidable force. Its tusks can cut steel beams without dulling. Proud of this weapon, it licks the ground to absorb minerals that strengthen its teeth. Tough armor also protects its body. The Pokédex describes an animal peaceful while its space is respected, then relentless when an intruder destroys what it guards.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword says Haxorus absorbs minerals from the ground to strengthen its tusks. Pokémon Black states that it uses them against those who devastate its territory. Maintaining its teeth therefore answers a specific defensive need rather than constant aggression.
