The Pokémon’s story

Gouging Fire has very rarely been observed. The Pokédex mentions a short video in which it rampages and sends up columns of flame. A paranormal magazine once described a similar creature as an Entei revived from a fossil. This origin remains a claim made by the magazine, not a confirmed conclusion. The few available images mainly show a dangerous Pokémon whose appearance has inspired speculation far beyond direct observations.

Pokémon Scarlet cites only a short video among the rare sightings of Gouging Fire: pillars of fire can be seen in it. Pokémon Violet connects its appearance with an account in a paranormal magazine, without confirming the fossil story.
