CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Bede takes a basic Energy from your hand and attaches it to a Pokémon on your Bench. It thus prepares a partner still in reserve without choosing the Active Pokémon as recipient. The resource must already be in your hand: no deck search or recovery from the discard pile is included. The support therefore moves an available card to a specific team member.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Bede imposes two different conditions: the Energy must be basic and the Pokémon must be on your Bench. The text does not require that Pokémon itself to be Basic. The restriction belongs to the Energy, not its recipient.
