CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Vaporeon frequents shores and clear water. The structure of its cells resembles water, allowing it to blend in until it disappears from an observer’s view. Its gills and fins let it live below the surface, where it sometimes waits for prey to pass. When danger approaches, it dives to hide. The Pokédex links this concealment to its adaptation to aquatic environments, rather than a simple illusion produced by the water.

A detail worth noticing

The fins on Vaporeon’s head react to moisture in the air. Pokémon Ultra Moon explains that their trembling can signal rain in a few hours. This weather sign comes from the same sensitivity to water that lets it hide almost perfectly below the surface.
