CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Combee works to the rhythm of daylight, collecting nectar for Vespiquen and the swarm. Its three members stay together, then join others at night to form a hive and sleep. Its existence thus connects a permanent small unit with a larger community, where gathering and resting both take on a collective dimension.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Combee's three members do not share exactly the same tastes. Pokémon Sword notes that each prefers slightly different nectars. Even a Pokémon whose members spend all their time together therefore retains diversity of preference within itself.
