CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Allister starts by drawing three cards. If at least one card was drawn this way, you must then discard between one and three from your hand. You therefore discover new resources before choosing what to abandon. The sacrifice is not limited to cards just drawn: it may involve other parts of the hand, depending on what you want to keep.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
The phrase up to three does not permit discarding zero with Allister: the parenthetical instruction requires at least one card when drawing occurred. The player then chooses from the whole hand, not solely newly received cards.
