CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Crabrawler holds its claws before its vulnerable body parts, then waits for a chance to counterattack. Its fights resemble boxing matches. It can lose a claw from repeated blows, but it grows back. The Pokédex also reports a mishap: mistaking an Exeggutor for a coconut tree, it climbs it before being driven away. Strength therefore does not prevent either fighting accidents or errors of judgment.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon explains that Crabrawler's claw can detach after too many blows and then regrow. Pokémon Ultra Sun compares its fights with boxing. Its striking style therefore genuinely wears down the weapons it uses for defense.
