Slither Wing remains surrounded by uncertain descriptions. An old book presents a creature bearing this name, some of whose traits recall the observed Pokémon. A dubious magazine, meanwhile, mentions an ancient form of Volcarona that it somewhat resembles. The connection with Volcarona is therefore reported as a comparison from that publication. It does not establish ancestry or date Slither Wing's appearance in the past.

A detail worth noticing

The ancient Volcarona form cited in connection with Slither Wing comes from a magazine Violet calls dubious. The entry retains only a partial resemblance. Scarlet, for its part, refers to a creature described in an old book.
