CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Jumpluff crosses the sea on seasonal winds and can reach new territories. Along the way, it scatters cotton spores. It does not simply submit to the currents: even in strong wind, it adjusts its appendages to direct its journey. If the air becomes too cold, it descends toward the ground. The Pokédex describes a great traveler that benefits from wind while correcting its course to survive.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Y credits Jumpluff with some control over its destination despite strong wind. Pokémon Omega Ruby notes that it descends when that wind becomes too cold. It therefore does more than drift: it also responds to the journey's temperature.
