CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Aqua Patch takes a Water Energy from your discard pile and attaches it to one of your Benched Water Pokémon. The Item combines a previously discarded resource with a target waiting outside the Active Spot. It requires no deck search: the chosen Energy must be in the discard pile when the effect is used.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The two Water references have different roles: one identifies the recovered Energy, the other the recipient's type. A Water Pokémon in the Active Spot does not meet the additional requirement of being on the Bench.
