CARDEX BACKGROUND
Iron Treads has been seen in recent times, yet its silhouette already recalls an object described in an old expedition journal. A paranormal magazine gives it a very different story: it claims that it resembles a scientific weapon sent to Earth by aliens. The Pokédex reports this comparison without making extraterrestrial origin a fact. This gap between modern observations, an expedition archive, and a science-fiction account leaves the Pokémon's true nature open.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Scarlet attributes the extraterrestrial hypothesis to a paranormal magazine rather than a verified observation. Pokémon Violet mentions recent encounters as well as a similar object in an older expedition journal.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
