CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Iron Treads has been seen in recent times, yet its silhouette already recalls an object described in an old expedition journal. A paranormal magazine gives it a very different story: it claims that it resembles a scientific weapon sent to Earth by aliens. The Pokédex reports this comparison without making extraterrestrial origin a fact. This gap between modern observations, an expedition archive, and a science-fiction account leaves the Pokémon's true nature open.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet attributes the extraterrestrial hypothesis to a paranormal magazine rather than a verified observation. Pokémon Violet mentions recent encounters as well as a similar object in an older expedition journal.
