CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Venusaur seeks sunny places where the large plant on its back can develop. Its petals capture light, and the flower becomes more vivid when it receives enough sunshine and nourishment. Its fragrance can calm those battling nearby. After rain, this scent grows stronger and attracts other Pokémon. Behind its imposing silhouette, the Pokédex thus describes a constant relationship between light, growth and the life around it.

A detail worth noticing

Venusaur’s flower changes in brilliance according to the care and light it receives. Pokémon Omega Ruby also explains that its fragrance can soothe people. The plant on its back therefore both captures solar energy and changes the atmosphere around the Pokémon.
