CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
The Pokédex recounts that fear poured into an ancient ritual vessel wrapped itself in rocks and earth to become Ting-Lu. This strange story explains the vessel's place in its silhouette without establishing the event as a direct observation. Its mass, however, has a visible effect: when it slowly lowers its very heavy head, deep cracks can open in the ground. Between an origin recounted by tradition and a force capable of reshaping the earth, Ting-Lu commands a presence that is hard to ignore.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Violet attributes cracks more than 160 feet deep, about 49 meters, to Ting-Lu's head movement. Pokémon Scarlet separately reports the story of fear concentrated in a ritual vessel and then clad in rocks and earth.
