The role of this Energy

Boost Energy is reserved for an Evolved Pokémon and provides it with three Colorless Energy during the turn of attachment. This surge is brief: the card must be discarded at the end of the turn. Its holder cannot retreat while it is attached, and the Energy also leaves if the holder stops being an Evolved Pokémon. It helps quickly pay for an expensive attack but requires choosing a Pokémon ready to stay in battle for that particular turn.
