CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Perrserker appears to wear an iron helmet, but this protection is actually hardened hair. It seeks the thrill of battle, and numerous fights have transformed its claws: when extended, they come together to form dagger-like blades. The Pokédex thus connects its warrior appearance with two parts of its own body rather than manufactured equipment. Even cards specifying Galarian refer to this species and its printed regional designation.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword reveals that Perrserker's supposed metal helmet is merely its hardened hair. Pokémon Shield explains the origin of its dagger-shaped claws: they developed over the course of its battles.
