CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Leafeon lives by the rhythm of sunlight in quiet forests. Its cells resemble those of a plant more than those of an animal, and photosynthesis supplies its energy. Near streams, it also receives the water it needs. Yet this peaceful existence does not mean it is defenceless: when a companion is threatened, its leaf-shaped tail can stiffen into a sharp edge. Calmness remains its choice, rather than an inability to act.

A detail worth noticing

Leafeon's scent changes with age: a young individual smells like fresh grass, while an older one recalls fallen leaves. Pokémon Moon thus offers a sensory clue to its growth. The Galar Pokédex adds that the scent of its leaves is so appreciated that it is used in a popular perfume.
