CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Fennekin moves along nibbling a twig, like a small meal carried with it. This wood provides energy and places heat at the heart of its habits. Its large ears do more than shape its silhouette: they let scorching air escape. Food and fire thus meet in a daily life where a quiet gesture prepares very real power.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon X says Fennekin's large ears release air exceeding 390°F, or about 199°C. Pokémon Y notes that it uses this hot air to intimidate opponents. These two observations connect measurable heat with a defensive response characteristic of Fennekin.
