CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

In a herd of Tauros, the horns tell each individual’s place. The leaders have the largest, longest horns, most marked by clashes. Before charging, a Tauros lashes its own body with its tails: the gesture warns that its speed is about to surge. This collective strength may also be turned against trees when no opponent appears. The herd lives with energy that is difficult to contain.

A detail worth noticing

Human societies learned to ride Tauros over time. According to Pokémon Sun, the first to do so lived in Alola. This ancient relationship with humans varies by region: Galar’s Pokédex, by contrast, describes Tauros that refuse to let anyone ride on their backs.
