CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Greavard is said to be the reincarnation of a dog Pokémon that died in the wild without ever knowing humans. Yet the one described by the Pokédex is very friendly and dislikes loneliness. Giving it a little attention is enough to make it follow someone for a long time. The story of its origin remains a belief, but its desire for companionship is presented as observable behavior. Meeting it thus overturns that sad story.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet presents Greavard's birth as a legend connected to a dog that died without human contact. Pokémon Violet reports behavior opposite to that isolation: the slightest attention can make it want to follow someone indefinitely.
