The Pokémon’s story

Shiinotic makes spores glow deep in the woods to attract prey. Their flashing puts the victim to sleep, then it drains life energy with its fingers. It can afterward share some with a weakened companion. When Shiinotic contests territory with Parasect, spore-filled fog covers the area. The Pokédex shows a nighttime light dangerous to visitors but also a resource for its group.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun notes that Shiinotic passes energy taken from prey to a weakened companion. Pokémon Ultra Moon describes conflicts with Parasect covering an area in spores. Its hunting method can therefore support its group while marking its territory.
