CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Jellicent floats in the sea with a body almost entirely like salt water. It prowls near large ships to drag prey into the depths. Sailors say it inhabits a palace of wrecks, and the Pokédex often places its refuges among sunken boats. On full-moon nights, several individuals supposedly wait at the surface. These accounts give Jellicent's hunting an unsettling reputation among sea travelers.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword places Jellicent's strongholds in shipwrecks. Pokémon Shield describes their full-moon gatherings. The story of a wreckage palace remains a rumor, but these shelters and nighttime waits feed its reputation.
