The Pokémon’s story

Floragato hides a vine beneath its long fur. In battle, it handles it precisely to launch the hard flower bud at its tip against an opponent. Its coat also offers a clue to its mood: when preparing to fight, its hairs become pointed and sharp like needles. The Pokédex thus describes two defenses combined in a well-groomed appearance. The flower acts as a projectile, while the fur changes with its readiness to fight.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet reveals that Floragato's vine stays hidden under its coat until it strikes with the flower bud. Pokémon Violet describes another transformation: its fur's hardness varies with its mood and increases before battle.
