CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Ponyta’s first steps are less assured than its great runs might suggest. As a newborn, it struggles to run properly. Its legs gain strength by following other members of its species. This spirited-looking Pokémon learns to move gradually, through contact with the group, before displaying all the ease associated with its silhouette.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Ponyta’s mane can reveal the trust it places in someone. Pokémon Shield states that its flames mysteriously stop burning to the touch once it has accepted that person. This characteristic concerns its relationship with them, rather than the disappearance of its fire.
