CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Team Rocket's Giovanni changes both sides of the field in sequence. You first switch your Active Team Rocket's Pokémon with a partner of the same affiliation on your Bench. If this movement succeeds, you then bring a chosen Pokémon from the opponent's Bench into the Active Spot. The effect can thus prepare a new duel, but its second half depends on the presence and movement of your own eligible Pokémon.

A detail worth noticing

The opposing movement from Team Rocket's Giovanni depends on your own switch. Both Pokémon exchanging places on your side must belong to Team Rocket. The text does not require that affiliation for the opposing Pokémon selected afterward.
