CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Piloswine moves across ice with broad, pointed hooves despite its short legs. Its long, thick hair protects it from cold but almost entirely hides its eyes. It sometimes moves by charging, guided by surrounding sounds. Its tusks dig beneath ice for food. The Pokédex shows a Pokémon well equipped for winter whose useful fur also imposes a particular way of moving.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Y says Piloswine's long coat hides its eyes. Pokémon Shield explains that its hooves keep it from slipping. Protection from cold and balance on ice are therefore provided by two very different parts of its body.
