CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Kilowattrel uses the wind to generate electricity with its wings. It stores this current in a throat sac and can inflate it to amplify its power. Riding air currents, it travels over six hundred and ninety kilometers in a day, according to the Pokédex. This ease in the air does not extend to water: its feathers contain very little oil, making it a poor swimmer.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet gives Kilowattrel a daily range of over 430 miles, or about 690 kilometers, when riding the wind. Pokémon Violet notes that its feathers contain little oil, leaving it ill at ease in water.
