The Pokémon’s story

Ribombee makes little balls from pollen and nectar. Their composition changes their effect: some feed it, while others can be used against an enemy. Some have even interested humans as dietary supplements. To preserve pollen, Ribombee monitors humidity and wind direction. It thus predicts coming weather and hides when rain threatens. Its craft therefore depends on favorable weather as much as flowers.

A detail worth noticing

Not all Ribombee pollen puffs serve in battle: Pokémon Sun also makes them meals, and Pokémon Moon mentions their sale as supplements. Ultra Moon notes that it anticipates rain through humidity and wind, then remains sheltered.
