CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Gorebyss swims gracefully in the depths of the southern seas. Its body withstands immense pressure, but its elegance conceals a cruel hunting method: it inserts its thin mouth into prey to suck out its fluids. Water temperature can change the intensity of its pink color, particularly vivid in Alola. Once satisfied, it leaves remains that feed other seabed Pokémon. Its delicate appearance thus accompanies a real role in the food chain.

A detail worth noticing

Alpha Sapphire describes Gorebyss hunting by sucking out a prey animal's fluids. Pokémon Ultra Moon adds that its leftovers feed other bottom-dwellers. Pokémon Ultra Sun connects variations in its pink color with water temperature.
