CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Treecko does not easily yield to intimidation. Even when a larger opponent stares at it, it can meet that gaze without retreating. This composure goes with great ease on walls, where the tiny hooks on its feet give it a grip. Its confidence shows not through agitation but through an assured way of occupying space, including vertically.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Treecko's tail does more than strike. The Pokémon X entry credits it with measuring air humidity and anticipating the next day's weather. This sensitivity complements its climbing skills: it concerns the species in the games, not an attack printed on a particular card edition.
