CARDEX BACKGROUND
Celebi travels through time and appears, according to stories, when peace prevails. Its arrival is said to make forests flourish, while some traditions have treated it as a woodland deity. The Pokédex also relates that it comes from the future and that its appearance heralds happy days. A more recent entry credits it with healing wounds and strengthening plants. Its legend thus connects the fate of living beings with the health of the forests it visits.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Sword states that Celebi has been regarded as a forest deity at different times. Pokémon Shield also attributes the healing of wounds and the vigour of plants to it. These details go beyond its power to travel through time.
