CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Bergmite shapes its protection by freezing moisture in the air around it. If struck, it can repair cracks in this armor with another cold breath. It lives on snowy mountains, sometimes in groups above the snow line. Another entry shows it attached to an Avalugg's back, its feet frozen to the surface. Beneath this renewable ice helmet, its defense depends as much on the cold it produces as on water present in the air.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword describes Bergmite cooling air to around −150 °F to make its ice. Omega Ruby explains that it repairs cracks in its armor by producing cold air again. Pokémon Shield shows it attached to Avalugg.
