CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Vigoroth constantly seeks to expend energy. Its heart beats very fast, and staying still quickly increases its stress. Even when it tries to sleep, its restless body drives it to run through the forest until exhausted. The Pokédex shows a Pokémon for which rest paradoxically requires exercise. Its impatience is more than a mood: it accompanies the intense rhythm described for its body.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Black credits Vigoroth with a heart beating ten times faster than normal. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire says it runs to exhaust itself before it can sleep. What looks like deliberate restlessness also responds to its bodily rhythm.
